1. Acceptance of terms
ShareLime is operated by Trishp Arora, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using ShareLime, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It explains what we collect, why we need each device permission, who we share data with, and the rights you have over your information. Please read it before using ShareLime.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use ShareLime. By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and about yourself.
We reserve the right to request age verification at any time, and to suspend or permanently terminate any account where we believe the user is under 18 or has provided false information about their age or identity. Accounts we determine to belong to minors are removed.
4. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person. Impersonating someone else, creating fake or deceptive accounts, or creating additional accounts to evade a suspension or ban is not allowed, and we reserve the right to remove such accounts without notice.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, bio, and messages you post. By uploading content, you grant ShareLime a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it within the app as needed to provide the service (for example, showing your profile to other users, or your reels in the feed). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you upload, and you are solely responsible for the content you post and the consequences of posting it.
6. Community standards
To keep ShareLime safe, you agree not to use the app to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or abuse other users.
- Post or share child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any content that sexualises a minor, in any form. We report such material to the relevant authorities and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- Post nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content, including in profile photos, reels, and private messages.
- Engage in or facilitate human trafficking, sexual exploitation, or prostitution.
- Post content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organised violence.
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, or that incites violence against any person or group.
- Engage in fraud, romance scams, phishing, or any attempt to obtain money, financial details, or credentials from other users.
- Catfish or misrepresent your identity, age, photos, or intentions.
- Share another person's private or personal information (including photos, contact details, or location) without their consent.
- Distribute malware, spam, or malicious links.
- Sell, advertise, or arrange the sale of illegal goods, drugs, weapons, or regulated services.
- Use the app for commercial solicitation or advertising.
- Create fake accounts, use bots, or circumvent a ban.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the app's operation or security.
These standards apply to everything on ShareLime, including profiles, reels, comments, and private messages. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate them.
7. Reporting and moderation
You can report any user, profile, or reel using the in-app reporting tools, and you can block any user at any time — blocking is immediate and mutual, and you will disappear from each other's feeds, matches, and chats.
We review reports and may remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these Terms. We do not routinely read your private messages. We may review messages only when they are reported to us, or where necessary to investigate suspected violations of these Terms or of applicable law. We also use automated checks alongside human review to detect fake, duplicate, and spam accounts. If your account is actioned and you believe it was a mistake, you can contact us using the details in section 17 to have the decision reviewed by a person.
Reporting is not a substitute for contacting the authorities. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
8. Safety
ShareLime helps you connect with other people, but we cannot control or guarantee the conduct of anyone you interact with, online or offline. Please read this section carefully:
- We do not conduct criminal background checks. We do not screen users against sex offender registries or any other criminal database.
- We do not verify identity. ShareLime does not currently offer identity or photo verification, and we do not guarantee that users are who they claim to be, or that their photos, age, or profile details are genuine.
- Never send money. Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank details, or any financial information to someone you meet through ShareLime, however convincing their story. This is the most common scam on dating apps. Report anyone who asks.
- Meetings are at your own risk. Any communication or meeting with another user — online or in person — happens entirely at your own risk. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you're going, arrange your own transport, and leave if you feel unsafe.
- Private messages are between you and the recipient. The content of your conversations, and any information, photos, or contact details you choose to share in them, are the responsibility of the participants. Share personal information at your own discretion.
- You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. ShareLime is not a party to those interactions and has no obligation to become involved in disputes between users.
9. Intellectual property
The ShareLime name, logo, software, design, graphics, and all other content we provide are owned by Trishp Arora or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our prior written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in our trademarks or branding. This does not affect your ownership of the content you post, as described in section 5.
10. Premium features
ShareLime premium features are currently free during early access. We do not charge you, and we do not collect payment or card details.
We may introduce paid subscriptions in future. If we do, the price, duration, and any renewal terms will be shown to you before you activate anything, and any purchase would be made through your app store, whose billing terms and refund policies would apply — you would manage or cancel such a subscription through your Google Play or App Store account. We will never start charging you for a feature without your explicit consent.
11. Service availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of ShareLime at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the app will be available without interruption or error — access may be affected by maintenance, updates, network issues, or factors outside our control. We are not liable for any unavailability of the service.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or through the Delete Account page available on our website (https://sharelime-backend.fly.dev/delete-account). Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, photos, reels, matches, and messages, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, or where necessary to protect other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability — continue to apply after your account ends.
13. Indemnification
You agree, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to indemnify and hold harmless Trishp Arora from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use or misuse of ShareLime, your content, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to claims arising from our own negligence or wilful misconduct, and nothing here limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
14. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
ShareLime is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trishp Arora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other users, whether online or in person.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts at Ludhiana, Punjab, India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your own country of residence.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use ShareLime after a change means you accept the updated terms.
